Rice and Beans
Ingredients
Two 15.5 oz cans of pinto beans (rinsed and drained)
1 ½ cans of tomato sauce (8 oz each can)
2-3 heaping tablespoons of HOMEMADE LATIN SEASONING
3 cans of water
2 potatoes (peeled and diced)
If you like olives (SPANISH) add to your liking
Directions
- In a medium saucepan on medium heat, add all ingredients and cook for 25 minutes.
- After 25 minutes, lower to simmer.
- At this point, I take a fork and smash up about a quarter of the beans and some of the potatoes (this makes a thicker bean sauce).
- Simmer for another 20 minutes.
