Rice and Beans

Ingredients

  • Two 15.5 oz cans of pinto beans (rinsed and drained)

  • 1 ½ cans of tomato sauce (8 oz each can) 

  • 2-3 heaping tablespoons of HOMEMADE LATIN SEASONING

  • 3 cans of water

  • 2 potatoes (peeled and diced) 

  • If you like olives (SPANISH) add to your liking

Directions

  • In a medium saucepan on medium heat, add all ingredients and cook for 25 minutes. 
  • After 25 minutes, lower to simmer.
  • At this point, I take a fork and smash up about a quarter of the beans and some of the potatoes (this makes a thicker bean sauce).
  • Simmer for another 20 minutes.
